AMP – Accelerated Mobile Pages
With the recent shift to mobile, media consumption changing, users now consume content wherever they find it.
Google has been working hard on a new architectural framework built for speed.
The accelerated mobile pages (AMP) project is Google’s approach to improving the mobile web. Amp is also an open source framework that uses a large part of HTML 5 features but eliminates all the unnecessary things that make pages load slower.
Almost 5,000 developers have started following the project on GitHub already. It has also been announced that ad networks will develop ads specifically compatible with the AMP requirements.
We expect this project to considerably boost usage on mobile pages and show significant improvement to delivering great mobile experiences for users while allowing publishers the flexibility to design the experience and product in a way that supports its business for data, analytic and monetization.
